Attorney Nicole Lynn, President of Football Operations for Klutch Sports, is a powerhouse in sports law, representing elite NFL athletes like Jalen Hurts, Quinnen Williams, and Breece Hall in some of the league’s most important contracts. This course covers the negotiation and structure of high-profile employee contracts under the NFL’s Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and associated salary cap, while also exploring the antitrust litigation between the NFL and the labor union of the NFL Players Association that resulted in the CBA. Nicole draws from her groundbreaking career as the first Black woman to represent a Top 3 NFL draft pick, highlighting strategies that lawyers can apply to their practice, particularly in negotiations, contract law, and antitrust matters. This CLE will cover key aspects of high-profile employee contracts, collective bargaining agreements and salary caps, offering attendees valuable lessons on advocacy, negotiation, and client representation in high-pressure environments.

In 2019, Lynn became the first Black woman to represent a Top 3 NFL draft pick (and only the second woman in history to solo represent an NFL first-rounder). The following year, Lynn again made history, representing back-to-back Top 10 NFL draft picks. Since then, she has gone on to represent top NFL clients such as Jalen Hurts, Myles Garrett, Quinnen Williams, Breece Hall, Ed Ingram, and many others. Named by Sports Illustrated as one of the most powerful women in sports, Lynn began her illustrious career by signing her first client at only 26. In 2021, Lynn joined the team at Klutch Sports Group as their new President of Football Operations.
A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lynn is a proud graduate of the University of Oklahoma and studied Business Management at Price College of Business with a minor in African American Studies.
After graduation, she moved to New York and worked as a financial analyst for one of the largest investment banks in the world, Morgan Stanley. While working on Wall Street, she obtained both her Series 7 and Series 63 certifications through FINRA. After leaving Wall Street, Lynn returned to Oklahoma to pursue a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. She graduated at the top of her class with honors and was inducted into the Order of the Coif honor society. After graduation, she spent time working at the NFL Players Association in Washington D.C. before beginning a federal clerkship for the Honorable Judge Robin Cauthron.
