Technology vendors are deeply embedded in modern legal and business operations—but when those relationships break down, disputes can be complex, expensive, and unfamiliar territory for many litigators. How to Win Tech Vendor Disputes provides a practical roadmap for attorneys litigating against software providers, IT consultants, data processors, and other technology vendors. This program explores viable causes of action, strategies for recovering attorneys’ fees, and how privacy and data issues can shape both claims and discovery.
Learning Objectives:
1. Identify common and effective causes of action in disputes against technology vendors, including contract and statutory claims.
2. Evaluate opportunities to recover attorneys’ fees and enhance damages in tech-vendor litigation.
3. Apply strategic considerations unique to litigating against technology companies, including leverage and risk allocation.
4. Develop targeted discovery strategies for technical systems, data, and vendor documentation.
5. Recognize how privacy, data protection, and information security issues impact claims, defenses, and discovery obligations.
