When allegations of sexual misconduct arise in the workplace, employers must respond promptly, impartially, and in full compliance with applicable laws and company policies. Mishandling even a single step of the process can expose an organization to serious legal, reputational, and ethical consequences. Employment attorneys Laura Feldman and Jade Lambert share their extensive experience conducting sensitive workplace investigations involving sexual harassment, assault, and abuse of power. Participants will learn how to navigate the legal and policy frameworks that govern employer responsibilities, apply trauma-informed techniques during interviews, manage the treatment of both complainants and respondents, and avoid common investigative pitfalls. The course also covers practical guidance for concluding investigations and ensuring findings are credible, well-documented, and defensible.
